Ooh, meme. Shiny.
Posting the last twenty-one first lines I wrote in fanfic. Very curious about anything that stands out to you about them, very willing to answer any questions.
I'm just using fics I've posted to my journal and/or AO3. If I had to paw through commentfic and drawerfic, we'd be here all night, lol.
1. "Streetwise, hey.” It was Afterburner's day to watch the stores.
2. Kup smiled when he saw Grimlock nosing around outside the security center, looking a little bit aimless.
3. “A Giga Annihilator-” Prowl gasps, optics wide with horror.
4. Spike had seen something similar once, at a children’s science museum in his youth.
5. "Here you are," the giantess said as she brought a cup of steaming liquid toward Firefly's face.
6. Megan was a muscular girl, strong from working the ranch, a few freckles brought out by the sun.
7. Rodimus saw his past self in the time warp, bright pink and laughing, fearless.
8. Trailbreaker kept trundling doggedly up the switchbacks of Mt. Hood.
9. “Ugh...” Breeze cupped his forehead in his hand, shaking his head. “S... Sloan?”
10. “I need a minute. Just- just half a breem. I need a minute. I-”
11. Chomp sat on the edge of his old pit, staring down into the drained pool.
12. Spike slumped against the softly pulsing stone ledge he slept on.
13. Tlalak was in rare form that day.
14. Daniel’s quarters were in the main residence building of Iacon, one of the first things to be built after the planet was retaken.
15. "You'll like it," Bumblebee murmured, face buried in Carly's hair.
16. Astoria was pinned to the wall, struggling against Powerglide’s arm.
17. >Battle just ended
18. “I could never be a shuttle.” Daniel Witwicky shifted in Sky Lynx’s hold.
19. “You’ll be fine,” Ultra Magnus said, smiling.
20. “I don’t remember inviting you here.” Astrotrain spoke the words carefully, working not to stammer or slur.
21. “Are you excited?” Kup asked. They’d been discussing this for a while.
I was kind of surprised to see how many characters I write about. Most of my brainspace is taken up by Roddy et. al.
