Magnus lay on his back with his hands above his head; a bed of geraniums and delphiniums, petals trembling as he opened. "Roddy-" he could feel the other mech's need, Matrix Heat, yes, but jagged, aching loneliness just under the surface, and the hunger for approval that was there when he was first created and had never left. Rodimus growled deep in his engine, field flaring out and descended on Magnus, the geraniums and delphiniums overwhelmed by a tide of chrysanthemum, daffodil, and fervid, exotic fuchsia.

"Ah!" As many times as Roddy greeted him by dropping down from the door frame in a fifteen pound cannon ball of sleek, tufted fur, Danny never got used to it.

"Tell me all about it, kid," Roddy said, and Danny found it hard not to forgive him as the elegant tabby's paws started to knead at his shoulders, and the familiar rough tongue to groom his hair.

The big, orange bot’s expression was tender if his words were sardonic; he held out a hand, optics filled with the burning need to comfort and shelter– everything Wheelie had craved during the long vorns alone on Quintessa.

“Y-you intend to be a friend?” he stammered as he put his hand out, hesitantly, into the familiar bot’s, fitting like a glove.
